Current Volunteer Opportunities (as of 6/2008)

On-call Crisis Line Advocate: Provide one-on-one counseling to domestic violence and sexual assault victims over the phone.  Refer victims to other community services and opportunities when appropriate.  Experience with counseling and domestic violence issues a plus.  Training is provided by PADA.  Hours are 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. when on call (at least one day per month).  Crisis calls can be answered from volunteer’s place of residence or cell phone.  Please call (920) 674-6748 for more information or to volunteer.

Would You Like to Schedule a Speaker from PADA or Receive Materials?

PADA staff is available to discuss domestic violence and sexual assault issues with any size group.  We have a bi-lingual advocate who can speak to her experience counseling domestic violence and sexual assault victims, facilitating support groups, helping victims with court support, and links victims with additional community service programs.

We also have an attorney advocate who can speak about representing victims of domestic abuse in restraining order and family law actions and counseling victims regarding personal and legal issues.  We also have a victim advocate that works with teens and children who can speak about dynamics of abuse regarding children and the dangers of teen dating violence.

Our executive director can speak about the overall implications and incidences of domestic violence and sexual assault as well as our work in Jefferson County to eliminate these issues.  Please contact us if you would like us to come and speak to your group.  Call Lindsay at (920) 674-6748.
